ZAC WOODS
BALLET | LYRICAL | CONTEMPORARY | PRIVATE TUITION
Zac has joined SMDS in 2026 and is an absolute asset to our team, leading our senior/adult students in Ballet, Lyrical and Contemporary styles.
Zac began dancing at 14 years old and quickly developed a strong passion for the art form.
He has trained and performed across Jazz, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, and Ballet, appearing in a range of musicals and contemporary dance works throughout his career.
Zac completed three years of full-time training at the Adelaide College of the Arts, specialising in Contemporary and Ballet. During this time, he performed in numerous works choreographed by industry professionals, including Dance Work by Daniel Jaber and Wasteland by Sarah-Jayne Howard, among others.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Dance), an Advanced Diploma of Elite Performance, and a Certificate IV in Dance.
In 2024, Zac co-choreographed a short work presented at the Adelaide Fringe titled The Mares. Through this creative process, he discovered a strong passion for teaching and choreography, solidifying his desire to pursue a career in dance education.
Through teaching, Zac aims to create a supportive and inspiring environment where dancers can build strong technique, confidence, and a genuine love for movement, while being encouraged to express themselves authentically.
